Playcircle Teachers

Jessica Petertil started Portage Playcircle in 2024. With a master’s degree in early childhood education from the Erikson Institute, as well as two young children, Jessica wanted to combine her love of early childhood education with a nurturing, creative space she envisioned for her own family.

As her idea formalized, Jessica approached Anne’s Haven about renting the space, and owner Janet gave an enthusiastic yes. Janet’s mother, Anne, had been a teacher, and it felt meaningful to see the space used to help young children learn, explore, and develop.
